Metal Inset Shape Write the Room

This write the room activity is designed to help children reinforce and consolidate the names of the metal inset shapes in an interactive and engaging way.

Preparation:

Choose your preferred label style (all lowercase / capitalised first letter). Print your chosen label style and the blank writing pages (there are 2 pages, each has space for six words, so you may wish to do this activity on two separate occasions). Cut the word labels and place them in suitable places around the room (place them in the child's line of sight or 'hide' them to engage the child through 'finding'). Prepare the materials the child will need to complete the activity: a pencil, a rubber (optional), and a clipboard (cardboard and a binder clip work well as an alternative if you don't have a clipboard).
